Dear Religious School Families,
We have all had an extra-ordinary few weeks! I do hope that you, your family and friends are all well. TBESOC and the entire Jewish community has come together in equally extra-ordinary ways. Teachers have taken on a monumental task of learning how to teach in a virtual classroom.
Please be sure to check your student’s grade level pages HERE for the latest updates, class projects, special programs and links to your virtual classrooms.
Our Shabbat Chai teachers have prepared an interactive virtual Shabbat Chai Passover experience session this Friday, April 3rd at 4:15pm. In order to accommodate families with multiple children in the program, two groups have been created, prek-2nd grade and 3rd-7th grade. Zoom information is below as well as on the temple wide calendar HERE and your grade level pages HERE.
Our Jewish community in Orange County understands that this global health crisis has effected everyone in different ways. Should you and your family need any assistance or you would like to learn more about how you can help please visit the community resource page HERE.
Insuring that you have every opportunity to stay connected to TBESOC’s community is our priority. With this in mind many of our programs are continuing virtually, in addition we have added many more opportunities for your entire family, please check the temple website often for upcoming events and resources.
I am available to you and your family, please do not hesitate to reach out to me anytime. You are in my thoughts and heart.

This message here was sent 3/12/2020 to all Religious School Families
- Hebrew instruction on Monday afternoons is taught virtually (links to attend are posted on the website here.)
- Shabbat Chai programming on March 27 and April 17 is canceled
Our hope is to offer in-person programming again on or after April 20 (once spring break and Passover closures are complete.) As the COVID-19 situation evolves, we will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation and communicate updates.
We are committed to paying our teaching staff through the closure, and invite you to help us make this financial commitment feasible by
- Making additional contributions online here
- Not requesting a refund for tuition or program fees and instead making them a donation
- Pre-paying contributions and catching up on outstanding balances
Following are some resources, and we will continue to share more with you as we navigate this new journey together.
Please call me anytime with any questions, suggestions, or thoughts.
