Bringing Shabbat Home

Friday November 29, 2019 The synagoge will not be holding services. Instead we invite you to participate in our Brining Shabbat Home experience.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gather in each others’ homes with new and old friends. Take advantage of this evening as an existing Small Group or try a taste of the Small Group experience.

Be a HOST
If you would like to host, you may invite as few as one or two others to your home, or you may choose to make it a bigger gathering. You may choose to have it be a potluck or you may serve the meal. The choice is yours. Enjoy!

This is an opportunity to gather with new and old TBESOC friends and observe Shabbat (“ceasing from rest”) outside of the synagogue setting. Take advantage of this evening as an existing Small Group or
try a taste of the Small Group experience, opening up your home and sharing how YOU observe Shabbat. To help you create a meaningful and engaging Shabbat, resource booklets will be available to download and share with your guests which include:

• What ritual items you need to bring Shabbat home
• Blessings and songs (in Hebrew, transliterated Hebrew and English) and some teachings related to them
